The Shake Up is California’s new pop/punk rock band Du Jour, but this hasn’t been any over-night group in the making. The Shake Up has been slowly developing over the past six years, and each member has been on a journey ending in one serendipitous formation of its band. The Shake Up is composed of: Justin Velarde, lead singer; Rob Rodello, guitar; Manuel (Manny) Arrendondo, vocals and guitar; Anthony Bueno, bass; Matt Lafferty, Drums.
“These guys have actually developed a band like A&R reps used to do. They weren’t put together by a bunch of studio heads like most bands these days,” says Paul Udouj CEO of Zabulon Management Group. “They are very energetic. They are a ball of power and energy.” says Udouj. Their audience seems to agree. They have a great up-beat sound that gets people revved-up with easy to sing-a-long jams that are pure fun. “These guys have worked hard, and it shows” says Udouj. As their first single and video “Right Coast Envy” are now available on the web.
